The author, who was born in Chennai in 1984, and has a Ph.D. Earlier this week, she was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature (RSL), a charity based in the United Kingdom that works for “the advancement of literature”. The accolades keep coming as her body of work expands. She is an anti-caste activist, poet, novelist, and translator with a long list of publications, fellowships and residencies to her credit. Meena Kandasamy has made a name for herself as a public figure wearing various hats.
